Happy Thanksgiving

CONFESSION:
Thank you God for all the wonderful blessings....(it's a long one)

I was sitting in my office this morning wishing I had the balls to go to Starbucks in my robe and Uggs in 47 degree weather...then I realized I was too chicken shit and opted against it. So instead I sat there trying to warm myself up when I stared looking at the cork board on my wall spilling with of photographic memories.

There are sweet photos from my wedding and honeymoon, black and white photos of my parents when they were X's age, a picture of the Husband when he was 2 with his late father, hammering a door. Pictures of my sister's whom love and I adore....My 30th birthday... My beloved doggy Napoleon who brought me so much happiness in a time I needed it most (his absence is still felt)...and our new doggy Poley who has done the same. My son...my glorious child.... A picture of my dad in his Saturday Night Fever days as a photographer in New York....My love....Our best friends...in Kauai...at their wedding...at the races...on her birthday....
All these moments...still here.

Now, I tend to be a very private person and being raised a Catholic I keep my faith just as private. But today I'm feeling warm and tingly (probably from sitting on my hands trying to conserve heat) and a little nostalgic. Today I'm so thankful for everyone in my life...and yes I realize thats sounds SO HALLMARK GENERIC not to mention ultra cheese ball...but it's true.

So today I give thanks to those in my life...

I am THANKFUL for our 3yr old little boy, he brings me so much joy and happiness. He makes me warm just thinking about him. He is our precious little gift from God and reminds me everyday that praying does work.

I am THANKFUL for my adoring husband who loves me, protects me, provides for me, supports me and encourages me. He is honest (brutally) yet gracious and he tries every day to be a better father, husband and person. Lord knows he is not perfect :) but in that... is where I've found perfection.

I am THANKFUL for my sister...who I always believed was my daughter in another life. She is my rock...my backup...my companion...she is more then a best friend... she is strong and fierce...and although she can be a mother freaking pain in the tush...she is unconditional and a part of every memory I have...she will be an AMAZING mother.

I am THANKFUL for my parents...I have no words to describe how BLESSED I am to have these two people love, nurture and care for me. They mean more then words can say...they're selfless and devoted, and nothing is to much to give us...they respect me as a women but will always see me as their little girl....I only hope that Chris and are half as GREAT of parents.

I am THANKFUL my oldest and dearest friend...we met when we I was 6 and she 7...and at the risk of sounding like my father...I will refrain from our long winded history. The next best thing to a sister is one by law! ;)...we can read each other's minds...expressions and silence. She can be bitter and sweet (girl you know it's true ;) ...she is grounded...she is strong...she is freaking HILARIOUS...shes makes me laugh till I pee. She is my girl.

I am THANKFUL for my newest friend and dearest friend (mWm)...we lived 5 houses away from each other growing up and I believe some of the best relationships you have in a lifetime are the ones you make later in life...This girl is strong...witty...incredibly smart...she is non judgmental...and extremely generous...she is deserving of all things goods...she has lived so much life...I hope one day she writes a book, I'd be her biggest fan.

I am THANKFUL to my grandma and uncle...I pray that they are in good health....and happy to see our little family is still united and strong.

I am THANKFUL to my husband's family...because without them I would have never had a brother who talks shit to me in such an affectionate way... another mother and father who would do as much for me as they would do for their own children...and a grandmother who embraces me with so much love.

My life is blessed with amazingly colorful people who fascinate me everyday...

and for all of them I am THANKFUL.

Amen.

CONFESSION:

WTF do you get the man who:

A. ALREADY has everything he wants for Christmas?

and

B. Gets you everything YOU want.

After watching Modern Family last week I REFUSE to give him coupons. UGH.

I have to admit...I'm stumped. This year I have NO CLUE what to get the Husband.

None.
Nada.
Zippo.

Usually I pat myself on the back this time of year for my punctual yet ever so fantastic idea of a Xmas gift. However this year I'm at a loss.

WHAT IN THE FREAKING HELL DO YOU GET A MAN WHO HAS EVERYTHING HE WANTS?

SoooooooooooI did a mental check list:

Anything golf related...check.

How about some clothes...ugh...check...plus that's what the moms are for.

Shoes...double check.

PS3....checkkity check check.

DJ Hero...check, freaking check, freaking check!

Logitech P.O.T crazzzzzzyass universal remote control.......C-H-E-C-K!

ANYTHING VIDEO GAME RELATED.....CHHHHHEEEEZZZZEEECCCKKK!

Maybe a sick ass helmet for his bike??......OOOHHHH WAIT that was last year! cHeCk.

Can we see my point?

I 'll probably just resort to wrapping my fat ass up in left over Costco wrapping paper slapping a fu*cking bow on and calling it a day.

Stay tuned.

The next morning....

Well folks...I have to say that...New Moon was Just. Plain. Good. There was definitely more money in the budget for action sequences, special effects and apparently music. Now for those of you who have read the saga know this time its ALL ABOUT JACOB . Who I'm definitely NOT a fan of.

But any whoooooo.

These were a few critiques I had:

Way toooo much background music....we're talking every. single. scene.

A little TO theatrical...you can definitely tell this was not a Catherine Hardwick production

A little choppy throughout scene changes

To much background music

Cast is looking older...(despite their immortality)

Not enough of chemistry between Bella and Jacob ( good job KPATZ)

TO MUCH FREAKING MUSIC

Things I L to the OVE:

They stayed true to the book

Acting improved overall for all characters

Kristen Stewart kept her twicting to a minimum

LOVED the Cullen's ( actually Peter Faccionelle) , even though they only had cameos

Although they have two completely different bodies types and looks....Edwards and Jacobs were both lickable...yummy yum yum.

What amazes me most is how gross ass Kristen Stewart can go from looking like she hasn't showered after sex...to looking like the adorably awkward Bella Swan. Thank God for make up and wardrobe.

It was CHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYYY

L-O-V-E-D the final scene...

Overall I was pleased....Counting down the days to Eclipse!

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT...

I have always had an unhealthy obsession with vampires. It all started back in 1986 with the Lost Boys then in 1992 with Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula...there was just something dark and wonderful about them!
Plus they always seems to cast the most delish fangers!

It was down hill from then on:

ALL of Anne Rice's novel's including the movie Interview with a Vampire ( *cough* cough* yummy Brad Pit and a ever so yummy pre -creepo Tom Cruise)

Then there was Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with Kristy Swanson...I wanted every outfit she had!

And then of course back when there was the WB...Buffy the Vampire Slayer with my idol Sarah Michelle Geller. Now, if you don't already think I have a few screws loose....I had the biggest girl crush on SMG. She rocked. I had even more of a crush on her hunky co-star David Boreanaz...ummmm dreamy...

then he got his own series ANGEL...dreamier!

On to more Hollywood...

Blade the trilogy...love me some Ryan Reynolds!

Underworld 1..2..and 3....love me some Kate Beckinsale.

And then it stopped. There was a lull of emptiness after that. No more Vamps. No more hotness. Just darkness.

Until.

My sister took me to see Twilight.

Now. I have to admit . I gave her a lot of shit about it, I teased her for reading something you could find in the young adults section at Borders.

But after I saw Twilight...ahhhh....I have no words....it brought me back to my high school years...that longing for the perfect, mysterious, and unattainable dead guy to fall in love with. The one who'd be SO in LOVE with you ....he'd just throw himself in front of a 200 yrs old vampire to save you....now thats love, right?

And that was all it took. I read the entire Stephanie Meyer collection in 4days...then I stumbled across her online manuscript of Midnight Sun shortly after. P.E.R.F.E.C.T.I.O.N.

Then it started all over again...and so did the Husbands eye rolls.

Tru Blood....sexy

Vampire Diaries..........SEXIER! I heart Stephan!

And now tonight I'll eagerly wait in line with 900 screaming 15 yr old girls who SO wish they were Bella (and some 30yrs old too *wink*) and 17yr old guys who SWEAR their Edward or Jacob!

Nonetheless...there is NO shame in my game...I'm a Twihard Twimom!....and thanks to my darling husband who indulges my every whim, I'll get see my Eddie again!

I know it will be ULTRA cheesy and ULTRA good!

HAPPY FRIDAY TO MOI!

Confession:
Terrible 2's ...Terrible3's....and PLEASE PLEASE NO 4's

For the sake of my sanity....(and for the sake of my already thinning hair)

I hope and pray that my darling 3 year old chills the F back!

I wish spanking ( despite the stink eye I get from my parents) worked. I wish yelling like a crazed women worked. I wish Nanny 911 worked. I wish I wish I wish.

The last couple of weeks he has been a complete terror at home and in school! And now I find myself standing in the corner on time out. Of course with a glass of wine in hand. What baffles me most and what I cant seem to wrap my head around is how he listens to his papa....errrrr....! Must be the man voice...I gotta get me one of those.

Nonetheless, its back to the drawing board.

I NEED to step my game up and stop melting every time he smiles and says "but I wub you mama...your sooo beeeeaaaauuuuuttttiifuuulll"- all with a twinkle in his eye.

So everyone (my 2 followers and 1 reader *wink*) when "they" say" watch out for terrible 3's"

"they" were serious.

Its NO JOKE.

Confession

He's growing up....

This morning my only child, the brightest and most my precious thing in my life brushed his teeth and changed out from his diaper and into his fruities (under roos) all by him self ... And as I laid there and watched him turn on the T.V. and situate himself on the bed like a big boy...I realized how fast they grow and HOW much they change. And even though it's a natural state of progression it's always bitter sweet whenever you leave a stage behind....

It just reminds me that He will never be this small again.

All I know is that...

He glows
He is magnetic
He is charming
He is loving
He is kind
He is funny
He is sweet
He is smart

He is perfect .....

Ugh...he makes me melt...

Come to Mama....

These FABULOUS suede BCBG pump have been on my radar for for a couple of weeks now...and after much research...a few promo codes later...these bad boys are mine!

Keeping up with the Kardassians!

I had the BEST time last night with my family and friends...Halloween has proven that it doesn't ALWAYS have to be about the kiddies!

It's soooo great to be able to get together with folks who have NO problem being complete jackasses with you. From The Dash Dolls , Slumdog Millionaire, and Bert and Ernie to a very questionable Suicide Bomber A.K.A's costume party was a B-L-A-S-T!

...and of course a few shots of liquid courage are always helpful!

To the Husband: You were quite possibly the most hilarious costume there...my Mr. Serious surprises me everyday ;) You sure know what LOVE is when your man throws on heels, lashes and weave at your request and act a fool!....muah!

Below are some pix of our Dashing night!

Not quite...but a close second!
